Yes, we can’t stop repeating it since this year’s final four-month period has begun: the 2025-2026 academic year is coming strong at Aloud Music. We thought about it with every band, every artist that joins the label, and when she came up, emotions overflowed. Because Sara Zozaya is like that, a more than brilliant incorporation because she takes her ability to understand music beyond. Since that first encounter with his live set at the icy AMFest 2020, releasing his music on Aloud had become a dream that has finally come true.
A total creator, who composes and performs, who is able to explore the space between the minimalist and the sound tradition of Euskadi, passing through lo-fi, pop…
Sara Zozaya proves it with every song and “Blu” is good proof of that. The first preview of attä (Aloud Music, 2025) takes us to those moments in which different emotions follow one another, the sensations of a Sunday night. Soccer everywhere and a simple dinner, where you inevitably think that the next day is Monday.
Between the nostalgic, the positive, with a certain aura of darkness, everything is summed up in the words of Castillo Suárez who has collaborated with Sara Zozaya in part of the lyrics in attä – Iritsiko da astelehena, ahaztuko dugu, maitasun denak direla, ahaztezinak” (When Monday comes we will forget that all loves are unforgettable).
SARA ZOZAYA
“Whoever does not yet know Sara Zozaya on stage is going to experience the great discovery. A little word of honor.”
This is what Rafa Berrio said about her. Since her adolescence, Sara has not stopped experimenting with lo-fi, pop, Basque tradition or minimalism. Involved in different formations of the Basque scene and recognized as one of the young talents of Euskal Herria, she has never stopped going further. His first solo EP, III (2018), was recognized as one of the best demos of the year by MondoSonoro, and since then he didn’t stop. Her first album Nara (2023), a couple of EPs, collaborations with Benito Lertxundi, Valdivia, performances at festivals like Primavera Sound or Eufonic… but always with two constants: creative freedom and his voice.
