Lo-fi stuff. Something from Sleater-Kinney, something from Bikini Kill, but more chill. Add some Courtney Barnett to it. Garage-pop with a post-punk attitude. Songs to make pogos with some ballads. Raw sound.

BIO

Raquel and Ane met creating. 2 fast, restless and passionate minds who share much more than a love of music. The band started almost parallel to their drum classes. And an objective in between: “At least do one show per month.”

When “80/B”, his first self-released EP, came out digitally in February 2019, his schedule was not only passing the target but far exceeding it. Pinpilinpussies have made their live show grow with many concerts in practically all venues in Barcelona, ??with small forays into small towns of Catalonia and the Basque Country, and sharing the stage with a multitude of bands that have not managed, for now, to take away their obsession with Courtney Barnett. And that is how they define themselves: “Lo-Fi Stuff. Something from Sleater-Kinney, something from Bikini Kill, but more chill. Add some Courtney Barnett to it. Garage-pop with a post-punk attitude. Songs to make pogos with some ballads. Raw sound”

In July 2019 they recorded their first LP with Raúl Pérez in La Mina, Seville, and the album was released through Aloud Music in March 2020, the day the pandemic officially began.

Before that, they had exploded in the BAM 2019 in front of La Plaça Joan Coromines to burst, they won the festival contest Embassa’t, they were chosen for the final phase of the prestigious Villa de Bilbao, they opened the tour of The Psycothic Monks, they messed it up at the Primavera Weekender in Benidorm or they devastated the A38 in Budapest (Hungary) in a mythical concert.

In January 2021 they become the first band on the label to participate in the Eurosonic, online edition, where they preview 3 songs from their upcoming work and present a more raw, forceful and risky sound.

In the middle of the pandemic, they make up the 13 songs that will be part of “Hipocondria” (Aloud, 2022), their new album, in which they take a giant step in the search for the perfect hit. They played at Primavera Sound 2022 and on a complete tour that will take them all over the country.

And it is that everything seems to go fast with them, but there is something in that speed that reminds us of amusement parks: they travel fast but very safe and have a great time. And when 2 artists of their caliber have as their first objective to have a good time, we have no choice but to get on the flight and enjoy their songs.
