Sacralvna – Ritual/compulsión (Purple Vinyl)

Sacralvna are an ethereal landscape of sharp cliffs. They can plunge you into a lysergic trance and then transport you to the most visceral intensity. Their music is brilliant, full of nuances that you discover in every loop and every repetition. A sonic spell that draws from the wellsprings of shoegaze, post-hardcore, and the least predictable post-metal.

Description

That which burns, that which flows. That which is reflected, that which remains, that which transmutes. From this necessary catharsis, Sacralvna is born. A band formed in 2024, but featuring true institutions for those who frequent the fringes of the Spanish post-hardcore and post-metal scene: Víctor Garcia-Tapia (Toundra, Ànteros), Eduardo Morales (Vereda), Mario Pérez (Böira), and Paul Sitges (Caricias). Together, they released their debut album, Ritual/compulsión, in 2026 under the Aloud Music, Brunzit Records, and Estudio Mazmorra labels.

The quartet delivers a work that departs from conventional structures to embrace a liturgical narrative. Recorded between Galicia and Barcelona by Carlos Santos (Sadman Studio) and Daniel Gil (Sietebarbas), the debut LP is structured in two cardinal movements that function as a mirror of the soul.

The title track, Ritual/Compulsion, is a 23-minute odyssey where the band pushes its sonic palette to the limit. An exercise in tension and release, in which we witness how their dense walls of sound, built from monolithically dense guitars, crack before passages of ethereal fragility, aided by the collaboration of allied voices such as those of Iván Ruíz and Marta Moreno (ZHARZHA), Juanma Medina (thëm), Miguel Pardo (Crossed), Endika Pikabea (Ànteros), and Eric Sueiro (Medalla).

For its part, “Astora” acts as the necessary reverse: a full stop, a look at the future after the storm where light begins to filter through the rubble.

Through alchemical symbolism (salt, sulfur, mercury), the album explores grief and the reconstruction of the self, as Ritual/Compulsion is the materialization of one’s own will. A demonstration that, sometimes, we must let go of what we once were in order to glimpse a better tomorrow.
