Puput It was formed in 2012. Five friends, who came from other bands in the city, started a project that quickly bore fruit. That same year they made their live debut, as part of the local music series. ‘Raons de pes‘ with a soldout at the Sala Stroika in Manresa, and they published their first self-released single ‘Marbre blanc‘. That year marked the beginning of a tradition that still accompanies them and has made them well-known in Manresa: the band’s Christmas Day concerts. First in the Sala El Vermell and from the second year onwards in El Sielu.

Their first album was self-released in late 2013, receiving a positive reception from both the public and critics. This was followed in 2015 by the essential album. ‘Upupa Epops’, which premiered to a packed house at the Kursaal Theatre of Manresa. With this album, the band began playing throughout Catalonia, and they even participated in the Bala Perduda competition, where they became semi-finalists.

In 2018 came their third album, ‘Purga’, produced by Jordi Matas and Ferran Palau, and released by the Hidden Track Records label.

During the second half of the decade, the band will perform several outstanding shows: AMFest, Primavera Sound, Ronda del Heliogabal, Bis Festival, La 2 de Apolo, Púbol en un Núvol and a tour in France.

In early 2020, coinciding with the global shutdown, Puput secluded themselves to compose their fourth album, a process they would carefully nurture. They reappeared in 2023, previewing it at the FABA Festival in Manresa and announce their signing with the Barcelona-based label Aloud Music.

The self-titled album appears on October 10th of that year and will be presented at the AMFest Encobert in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
