DobleCapa’s ability to push boundaries is undeniable; they have no limits. Because they don’t set them. Their drums, their cigar box sound, and their desire to (re)discover themselves are all there, as they’ve shown us with each new release. It happened with “Planes de mierda<\/a>,” their first single, and it happened again with “Tormenta<\/a>.” <\/p>\n\n

A feeling that repeats itself with every song you listen to on Yo llor\u00e9 porque me dol\u00eda mucho (Aloud Music, 2026). Because with each track on this third album, DobleCapa reveal their ability to experiment, to play with other classic stringed instruments like the guitar or bass, or with the keys of the organ, the Mellotron, or synthesizers. <\/p>\n\n

DobleCapa’s evolution between La Felpa (2019) and Yo llor\u00e9 porque me dol\u00eda mucho (2026) is undeniable. And it shows, because this new work encapsulates how they were when they started, straightforward and full of rage, and how far they can go, transforming the sound of those emotions. Their naturalness and realism are there, turning moments into songs that say it all through notes and chords; through titles that suggest, that give clues about what might lie beneath the surface, replacing the voices and lyrics. <\/p>\n\n

With each new sound discovery, DobleCapa grows in stature.<\/p>\n\n

Between abrasive blues and instrumental punk, Mario Navajas and Arianne Pic\u00f3n push their instruments beyond supposed limits. She with the force of her drums, and he with a cigar box guitar that is pure fire. <\/p>\n\n

It already seemed that way in Suave con la Canoa (2017), and it went further with La Felpa (2019), when they went to Chicago where Steve Albini recorded and mixed this second work at Electrical Audio.<\/p>\n\n

A true milestone, which somehow solidified their way of creating, and a sonic personality that took them to festivals like ArcTanGent, Portals, Primavera Sound or Mad Cool. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
