Thus, “No sueltes lo efímero” is the compelling proof of a proposal where pain, loss, light, and love collide in extremes of thunderous vital intensity. The same intensity that Pumuky channels into a raw songbook that invites one possible objective: to desperately cling to its dramatic aerostatic melodies, its fiery baroque electricity.

Guided by their natural instinct to hunt harmonies between half-sleep and unbridled passion, a path is formed to the beat of the slowcore tick-tock of milestones such as “El salitre de tus labios” and “Lo recuerdo todo” that return us to the more organic sound of classics to be vindicated from their discography such as “Plus Ultra” (2011).

To the beat of this path, the songs that make up this album were recorded, seasoned in La Mina studios under the watchful eye of Raúl Pérez. From these elements, this captivating pop island has emerged. One that is free from algorithms, intentional consensus, and other creative trinkets that could distort what is already a major achievement: the resurgence of an unquestionable group, once again bearers of a musical decalogue woven from the guts to the very epicenter of the dream.

Theirs is Dream-core in intense cinemascope. Earthly medicine sown with melodies curdled with lime and fire in the subconscious of whoever accepts the key to enter this universe of majestic chords and emotional boldness bordering on the first Low, Codeine, but also with the first Sr. Chinarro , the first version of Blacanova, or with The Cure’s more elegiac “Faith.” Or what is understood as a strange, incandescent flower that pricks and hurts as only the artistic leaps into the void of pop code tightrope walkers like Mariano, Albert, Noé, and Jaír can do. Four souls chained to a goal: the construction of a unique emotional outburst in these times of total asepsis. Once again, and like never before.

Press release, by Marcos Gendre

It’s always a source of pride and joy to be able to work with the authors of one of the most exciting albums of recent times.
