BIO

Flores, Carne” (Walking is Still Honest, 2014) and “Ulises” (Aloud, 2016) aroused unusual expectation among the public with that particular mix of styles that have led Viva Belgrado to have its own sound that is recognizable at first listen. They move shamelessly between screamo and post-rock, without losing sight of contemporary sounds (in “Guillotinas” electronics and trap were present) and always dressed in captivating lyrics that the public endorses from the first listen.

His past contemplates up to 5 tours of Europe they made in his first years of life. After “Ulises” and after releasing 2 singles (“La Cima” and the controversial “Guillotinas“) in autumn 2017, Viva Belgrado combined dates around the peninsula, festivals and tours of the UK, Japan and Central America, with the composition of “Bellavista“. In between, a small internal restructuring, with a change of drums included (in September 2017 Álvaro Mérida replaced Álvaro Moreno), and a frustrated recording in mid-2018 that meant a small break in his hectic activity, practically unstoppable since the edition of “El Invierno” (2013).

More than 30 countries visited, more than 300 concerts and more than 35,000 km traveled mostly by van are part of the musical passport of a band based on humility, the work done with care, taking care of every detail, the recognition of places in the world that politically fight for their same ideals (feminism, equality, respect for animals), and that musically has allowed them to take their impressive live performances to stages such as the Primavera Sound (Barcelona), Resurrection Festival (Viveiro), Download Festival (Madrid), ArcTanGent (UK, Bristol).

In addition, as the icing on the cake, ‘Bellavista‘ was chosen as album of the year 2020 in prestigious media such as MondoSonoro and Rock Zone, or also nominated for the 2020 Premios Ruido. The album was, in its first week, on the official Spanish list of most listened to albums.

In 2021 and 2022 they explore their edges in a series of EPs called “PARALELOS/MERIDIANOS“, which is already in volume 2, while they complete their tour of Spain that can finally be carried out after the pandemic.

In December 2022, Viva Belgrado and Aloud Music decide by mutual agreement to end their collaboration as label and management.
