Toundra is an instrumental rock band formed in Madrid in the summer of 2007. Formed at the beginning for Victor, Albert and William of Nacen de las Cenizas and Esteban of Ten Minute Man.

In November 2007, after several months of rehearsals, recorded two demos (Bajamar and Orbita) with Emilio Seismo in Seismo Studies. They sent that record to Alberto from Astoria Records and he offers editing by 7 ". Ultimately the issue wasn´t did because they prefer to do more songs and edit something larger.

In December 2007, Toundra recorded an EP that would be released as a 10 " in Astoria Records, but this time with Carlos Santos at Sadman Studios (Ictus, Adrift, Aathma, Another Kind of Death). In this 5 days, Toundra recorded Bajamar, High Tide, Orbit and Medusa. The Mastering has sent to Sweden to Peter in DeBetou (Dimmy Borgir, Dark Tranquility).

In January 2008 they put this records in myspace and received a very warm welcome. That same day, Red Chalk Records (Arindelle) offers editing a CD version of what had been recorded but adding two more tunes.

In February 2008 they entered to record again with Carlos Santos and the result is: Jauria and Tesalia. This is mastering again with Peter in DeBetou and in April 2008 goes on sale on CD and vinyl 12 "on the first throughout Toundra: Toundra (I).

In May 2008 they recorded a demo of a new item, Embalse, at the Babe Estudios (Madrid) with Babe Pulido.

In September 2008, Guillermo left the group and they joined Alex (Gone with the Pain).

In December 2008 come to record a new song: Genesis. This time also repeated with Carlos Santos and have the collaboration of Juan Blas (Nothink) for voice. Santi Garcia mastered.

In January 2009, goes on sale the split 7 "Hand of Fatima" edited by Astoria Records, Nooirax Producciones y Odio Sonoro.

In March 2009 goes on sale a new version of Toundra (I) with a bonus track (Genesis) and a new artwork in France (Basement Apes Industries), Germany and Brazil (Criminal Attack Records).

In November 2009, announced his move to Aloud Music Ltd. to release their next CD in May 2010 and the vinyl will be co-published between Aloud, Astoria and the German label Narshardaa.

The album, called II, goes on sale in May 2010, amid unprecedented success of the download politic of the record label. Thousands of people download the album in a few days.

The band has presented in a showcase in Barcelona at the Primavera Sound 2010, and an impressive sold out with (lo: muêso) in Ritmo y Compás.

After the summer, Toundra played in the BAM 2010, the festival of Barcelona, in a memorable concert that has recorded by Diego Olmo: Medusa BAM 2010

From there, the tour takes them to play all over the country: Madrid, Bilbao, San Sebastian, La Coruna, Vigo, Valladolid, Seville, Cadiz, Barcelona...

In 2011, the band has played at the Primavera Sound Festival, this time within the schedule of the Forum; at the DCode Fest of Madrid (My Chemical Romance, Nothink, Band of Horses, etc) and Resurrection Fest in Viveiro (Pennywise, Bring me the Horizon, etc).

Last gig of the "II" tour was in Madrid, Sala Caracol, with a sold-out (500 people). After that, they started to prepare the release of "III".

"III" was recorded in may 2012, and will be released in september 2012. The band played at Costa de Fuego (Benicassim) in july 2012 and introduce 2 new songs.

They expect their first concerts in Europe in september 2012, including shows in France, Switzerland and Germany.
